Isma'eel Abdul Hadi 'Allan was a soldier in the Jordanian Army. His military unit was tasked in defending Jerusalem from the war Israel conducted against the Arab World in 1967. When Israel occupied Jerusalem, Isma'eel 'Allan withdrew with a group of the soldiers, deciding to return back to his hometown, Beit Awar Al Tahta. In due course, however, it seems that he decided to head towards Sha'fat, where his relatives resided in, and where his close colleagues have heard shots fired shortly afterwards, suspecting him as the target. Until today, his parents have not found his body.
