An Israeli police officer opened fire at him in the middle of the main street in Al Khadairah during his execution of a martyrdom operation. The media, including the Israeli broadcast channels, broadcasted footages of the scene with the names and photos of the martyrs who were killed next to Yousef Sweitat. In response, the Israeli Occupying Forces demolished Yousef Sweitat family's house and its components.
